1490 Accelerant (Amino Roasting Paint Reinforcing Agent)

  Amino roasting paint is a type of exterior coating most frequently used in steel drum industry, of which, the full name is amino alkyd roasting paint. As one of the major roasting paints, amino alkyd roasting paint mainly use the substance produced through cross linking between the amino and alkyd resins for film formation. It is cured by means of heating to facilitate the etherification between the methylol as contained in amino resin and hydroxyl group as contained in alkyd resin as well as the polycondensation of amino resin. This type paint has such features as integral paint film, high tenacity, excellent adhesion, high mechanical strength, perfect weatherability, excellent pulverization and cracking resistance as well as sound dry-wet performance and appropriate viscidity after drying. Furthermore, it has certain water, acid, alkali and oil resistance as well as sound insulation property, which can ensure the workability and flatness of the paint film.         
  However, this type of paint has deficiencies as represented by poor performance in terms of contamination, corrosion, chemical, surfactant and solvent resistance. As a result of it, any liquid product mentioned above as packed in the steel drums by users may incur blistering, wrinkling, scaling, discoloration and peeling to the interior coating once its splash or even the steam contacts with coat directly.        
  Moreover, as the amino alkyd baking paint adopts roasting solidifying, it should be cured within the range of 1.5-2 hours at 105 -120℃ as per different resins and colors adopted. Nevertheless, as the production line used in steel drum industry is not available for baking for such a long time, it is only applicable to shorten the roasting time by increasing the roasting temperature (for instance, 10-20 minutes at 160 -180℃ ). It is somewhat unfavorable for solidifying. In addition, as the temperature and solidifying time of roasting tunnel adopted by the domestic steel drum production line are not available for accurate control, the low temperature and short curing time may make the paint film excessively sticky or make it brittle on the contrary. This would serious affect the corrosion resistance of amino alkyd roasting paint. 
  Then, how to make up all these deficiencies to the amino alkyd roasting paint? The 1490 amino roasting paint reinforcing agent can accelerate the solidifying process, relax limitations on curing, facilitate the cured amino alkyd roasting paint film to form reticular structure, and thereby significantly improve its corrosion resistance. The 1490 accelerant added into the amino alkyd baking paint coated on the outside surface of the steel drum can effectively enhance the rigidity, luminance and smoothness of the paint film as well as its chemical and oil resistance. Common chemical corrosive liquid will not cause any damage to the paint film even if it is poured on its surface. The 1490 accelerant is added in the same manner as the addition of thinner. The only thing is that it must be mixed uniformly and placed for several minutes to remove any air brought in. After that, it is applicable to proceed with operation as per the normal application of amino roasting paint.
